Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I would like to thank all our visitors, volunteers, and members for a wonderful 2019 at the Historical Society.  We had a wonderful year and look forward a historic year in 2020 with the celebration of Papillion’s 150 year birthday.

As we start the new year please make sure to look for the new historical narrative signs popping up in downtown Papillion thanks to a great collaboration between the Leadership Sarpy class, the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce program, the Papillion Area Historical Society, and the City of Papillion. We have a sign in front of the Historic Portal Schoolhouse and one in front of the Sautter Farmhouse.

We invite citizens to share photos and stories about Papillion and it’s rich history.  We will share photos throughout the year on our Facebook page and on our website.  We are compiling photos and stories so if you have information or photos please contact us so we can share during this special year.

Once again, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to celebrating with you in the coming year.
