Portal Day Recap
We would like to say thank you to everyone who came to our 1st Portal Field Day! We hope you had fun, I know we sure did! We enjoyed having Casey from Omaha Storm Chasers play cornhole and the wheelbarrow race. Thank you to Papillion Public Library for partnering with us, Bethel #1 Papillion – Mother Bethel of the World, and Papillion Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council for helping. There is a great article from Sarpy County Times, we are glad that you were able to make it out. We had some great suggestions for 2024 and look forward to adding those.
Our milk cow has an official name. It was a close race but Bessie was the most voted on!
We also have a Top 3 Fastest Farm Chore scoreboard.
We hope to see everyone next year!

Sons of the American Revolution Plaque for Patriotism – April 6, 2023
Mr John Whistler from Sons of the American Revolution presented the Historical Society with a plaque for our patriotism. We preserved and display the 45 Star flag that was donated by the Lamb family and recently framed by Mangelsens. We are honored to receive this recognition and proudly display the flag at the Portal Schoolhouse. We are proud to preserve and share our Nations history and Papillion history.
